About the conference

The Space Conference 2025 is an international conference bringing together industry experts, startups, scale-ups, policymakers, researchers, and university students to explore the future of space technology and satellite communication. 

Taking place in Aalborg, Denmark – a European hub for satellite innovation - the conference highlights the region’s unique strengths in nanosatellites, communication systems, and cutting-edge space research.

The conference is organized by Aalborg University in collaboration with the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, as part of Denmark’s EU Presidency in 2025. Together, we’re celebrating and advancing European leadership in space.

Aalborg is home to over 15 space- and satellite-related companies including a top-ranked engineering university offering a range of space-focused programs and research facilities – all within a 25 km radius.  This concentrated ecosystem positions Northern Denmark as one of the world’s leading hubs for space innovation and commercialization.

With a thriving ecosystem, Aalborg and the Northern Jutland region in Denmark have emerged as a leading Northern European hub for satellite communication and space-related technologies. With a strong foundation in engineering, innovation, and digital development, the area has become a center of excellence for research, development, and collaboration in the space industry.

At the heart of this ecosystem Aalborg University is renowned for its cutting-edge research in satellite systems, communication technologies, and small satellite development.

Let’s Shape the Future of Space Together

The Space Conference 2025 is centered around three tracks; the EU Presidency Track, The Research Track, and The Industry Track, each focusing on a key dimension of the European space landscape. 

Besides the three tracks, the conference seeks to highlight the future generation of space professionals by organizing a separate Youth Space Conference.

The Youth Space Conference

On the morning of October 20th, Aalborg University and ESERO Denmark will host a special Youth Space Conference for students aged 15–18 from Danish gymnasiums. 

Organized by the House of Natural Sciences, this event aims to inspire the next generation of space professionals. A poster session featuring student projects will be held at 12:15, and all attendees are welcome to join.

The Space Conference 2025 is more than just a conference – it’s a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and inspiration across sectors and borders. We can’t wait to welcome you to Aalborg and share Denmark’s and Europe’s space ambitions with the world.
